WaMu Presents MSG Concert Series

MSG, a world class sports and entertainment network, announced that the network will further expand its lineup of entertainment programming, with the premiere of the new "WaMu presents MSG Concert Series."

The ongoing series will feature an eclectic mix of some of the most crowd-pleasing concerts in New York City from both the past and present. The first concert to air is the ‘All Star Tribute to Brian Wilson’ on Wednesday, July 4th at 10:00 p.m. (originally recorded at Radio City Music Hall in March 2001), featuring performances by numerous top-name artists such as Billy Joel, Elton John, Paul Simon, Vince Gill, the Go-Go’s, and Wilson himself. TV and radio personality Eddie Trunk will host the series.

"We are excited to bring viewers a wide variety of great musical performances from our internationally renowned Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall stages through the ‘WaMu presents MSG Concert Series’," said Michael Bair, president, MSG Media.

"This series underscores MSG’s commitment to increasing our slate of unique entertainment programming options to accompany our award winning sports coverage, while also offering a WaMu the opportunity to further expand their presence in the entertainment industry."

Other concerts currently scheduled to air as part of the "WaMu presents MSG Concert Series" include: O.A.R from Madison Square Garden on January 27, 2007, Dashboard Confessional from the Garden on December 8, 2006, Dispatch Concert for Zimbabwe appearing at the Garden on July 13-15, 2007, The Jammys Awards 2006 from the Garden, the Elton John 60th Birthday Concert from the Garden, and his 60th concert at the Garden, on March 25, 2007.
